Isabelle Plante started her career in 1992 before she had even completely finished her studies in cosmetology. Because of her enthusiasm and her love of the profession, she was chosen from among several candidates to work as an esthetician-electrologist in a beauty salon in Laval-des-Rapides.

Two years later, she decided to go into business for herself and opened her own centre. L'Alcalmie beauty and health centre opened its doors on September 12, 1994 in the prestigious hotel Le Chateau de l'aéroport Mirabel. After eight wonderful years with ten employees serving hundreds and thousands of satisfied clients throughout the world, the dream of Le Chateau de l'aéroport Mirabel was extinguished on August 26, 2003 with the closing of the international airport.

A little more than two years later, reflection on the future of L'Alcalmie bore fruit. During this period of reflection, Isabelle Plante continued to look after some of her clients at her home, and obtained a diploma in massotherapy from the Académie de massage scientifique.

The new location chosen for the re-opening of the centre was at 1955 Arthur Sauvé Blvd. in Laval-Ouest. Located next to the salon JML Coiffure, Isabel Plante sees this new location as an interesting opportunity to complement the range of products offered to her clientele by working in association with the owners Julie and Manon, two passionate people who exude the same positive energy. The Alcalmie beauty and health centre was reborn on May 11, 2005.

Since then, the company has continued to expand and now has ten health and beauty professionals trained in the latest technologies.
